Bobby Aragon first heard the music of Frank Sinatra while still in the womb. Bobby’s mom Guadalupe was a fan of Sinatra and Tony Bennett and listened to both when she was pregnant with Bobby (Bobby actually shares the birth date of August 3rd with Tony Bennett).

As a child Bobby grew up with a love for the Great American Songbook, especially as interpreted by Sinatra, Bennett, Ella Fitzgerald, Rosemary Clooney, Perry Como, Peggy Lee and Mel Torme.
As an adult Bobby grew more and more intrigued by the public and private persona of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin.

Ever since childhood the desire to emulate “The Voice,” “Dino,” and Tony Bennett was always there, however the opportunity would not present itself until March 2006.

To back up for a moment, on February 7, 2004, Bobby’s mom passed away. Her dying wish was that he follow his dreams to be a singer/entertainer and use his talents to bring joy to others.

In January of 2006 Bobby was asked to take responsibility for his church’s outreach to Catholics living in nursing homes and senior adult communities.

After three months of providing this ministry, which involved singing hymns during the Catholic Mass, Bobby was invited to perform his first concert of popular music at the very nursing home where his mother had spent the last years of her life.

By the time Bobby was asked to perform at a small coffee house in June of 2006 he had built up just the right amount of confidence to wow the packed house. As Sinatra might say, “it was a real gasser.”

Based in San Antonio, Bobby Aragon is currently playing the restaurant and club circuit while also maintaining appearances at area senior living facilities.
